Visceral Manipulation Course
I will be teaching Liz Gaggini’s Visceral Manipulation work in four modules. Each distinct module is four days long. The modules will be scheduled every 3 months to give students an opportunity to integrate the work slowly into their practices as these techniques are very different to standard structural work.
This course is open to all bodyworkers with manual experience (not just Structural Integrators). If you have questions about whether this class is right for you, please contact me directly, miriam@rolfbrooklyn.com
Course size will be limited to six people so that everyone gets personal attention. The course will be held in Brooklyn, New York. The location is near multiple subways and very close to beautiful Prospect Park.
In between each module there will be a zoom study group giving students the opportunity to ask questions and talk strategy.
The first module is a prerequisite for the second module and so on. If you are not able to make the first module, I will be teaching this course again in the future. Students who have taken this course in the past please contact me directly.
Each module is $800, a $200 deposit is required to hold your spot at least 2 weeks before the start of class.
I encourage all students to book a visceral session with me while you are in town for the course. Students will be practicing this work on each other. A colleague of mine once told me that after studying this work she’d received a spectrum of touch from her peers and had been a demo for the teacher, but even years later, had yet to have a whole visceral session from an experienced practitioner. After hearing her story I thought it would be valuable to somatically understand the weight of this work. Sessions can be scheduled before and after class or students can choose to come a day early and are at a discounted rate for students.

Hi, I’m Miriam
I have had a passion for movement and the intelligence of the human body from a very young age. From the beginning, I wanted to experience every kind of movement practice from modern dance and yoga, to boxing and cycling. At Sarah Lawrence College, my intensive study of dance lead to her interest in anatomy and physiology, and went on to receive a Bachelors of Science Degree from Edinburgh Napier University in Sports and Exercise Science. Rolfing seemed to be a very natural progression as it married the beauty of movement with the body’s own natural capabilities and complexities.
